Your comments: Charlie Sheen's up-and-down weekend in New Jersey and New York

Charlie Sheen's "Violent Torpedo of Truth" tour went through New York over the weekend, and the actor made an appearance at a Carlstadt, N.J., nightclub. The results were mixed.

Sheen was booed in his first show at Radio City Music Hall on Friday night but returned Sunday to cheers.

However, fans who paid as much as $50 for entry to Dragonfly Nightclub in Carlstadt on Saturday were dismayed when the actor only appeared for a short time.

The Star-Ledger's Lisa Rose was in attendance Friday night as fans threw debris on stage at Sheen.

NJ.com user morpheus comments on Rose's story, saying:

I have to give him credit for going on stage and being a target for verbal and physical abuse.
I cannot explain why these shows are sold-out, with people paying so much just to hear a train wreck. He obviously loves the money. My guess is that people love to abuse a rich-and-famous celebrity, sort of like a schadenlust for the masses.

And NJ.com user bjay22 writes:

I think the writer has hit the nail on the head with his article. It's all about the money. And unless Sheen takes rehab seriously, there is no way he comes out of this with his career or his life intact. Personally, I don't think this is going to end up a success story.... From watching all the bios the TV stations were quick to air, it's obvious Sheen has ALWAYS been a selfish, childish man.... way back as a teen and straight on through his adult life. He doesn't care one bit how his actions hurt his parents, his brothers, his wife(s) and most sadly, his children.... He might be a "star", but he really is just like any other druggie/alchoholic who can't kick the habit... eventually he'll OD or his liver will stop working and only his family will mourn his passing.
