After doing the double over Spurs last season, Wolves will come into this game full of confidence and in the knowledge that a win will increase their hopes of staying up. Their record against top 6 sides has been impressive this season, home wins against Man Utd, Chelsea and Man City is proof that this will be no easy game for Redknapps side and I?m surprised to see them priced as short as they are at 5/4 with some firms. Wolves will be without O?Hara due to conditions of his loan, but apart from his absence, McCarthy has a full squad to choose from. O?Hara will be missed but I think his absence may encourage the Midlands side to go for a more attacking 4-4-2 formation.
Spurs themselves still have a whole host of injuries and with the Champions League 2nd leg coming up midweek, Redknapp may be tempted to rest a few legs. Despite the number of injuries, Spurs do still have a strong team and but without the pace of Defoe and the skill of Van der Vaart they may struggle to break down the Wolves defence. Spurs have already lost 6 times away from home this season and with the Milan fixture on their mind they are worth laying at 2.5 on the exchanges.
Wolves beat Spurs twice last season with both results ending 1-0, you can find odds of 8/1 or 9.6 on the exchanges of that result happening again. However I think I will just be sticking with a lay of Spurs.
