Another Tragic Deadliest Catch Death

A year after saying goodbye to Phil Harris, the Deadliest Catch fleet has sufferend another devastating loss.

Justin Tennison, a crew member on the Time Bandit, was found dead Tuesday in an Homer, Alaska, motel room. He was only 33.

No foul was expected in the death of the crabber, who worked as an engineer and deckhand on the vessel. According to local police, alcohol and a quarter-ounce of marijuana were found in the room, but there is no word yet whether they played a role in his death. An autopsy is scheduled for today.

Time Bandit captains Johnathan and Andy Hillstrand paid tribute to Tennison on their site:

"It is with great sadness that the Time Bandit family announces the death of crew member Justin Tennison," they wrote, adding that he "died peacefully in his sleep."

Tennison's cousin, Eddie Uwekoolani Jr., has been a longtime fixture on the show, and after serving time as an engineer (a role that didn't earn him any TV time), Tennison worked as a deckhand during the 2010 king and opilio crabbing seasons.

"Justin was tough as a bull and was an all-around good hand. The Captains and Crew appreciated his hard work and many contributions this past year.We will miss him terribly and wish his family all the best during this most difficult time," the Hillstrand statement continued.

In a separate statement, the Discovery Channel said the network "is saddened by the passing of Time Bandit crew member Justin Tennison. We send our sympathies to his entire family and fellow crew members during this most difficult time."

Tennison, who would have turned 34 next month, is survived by a son and daughter.
