The 2011 Grammy Awards red carpet was an odd mix of ultra-high end haute couture gowns (Florence Welch in Givenchy, Nicole Kidman in Jean-Paul Gaultier, both fresh from the spring 2011 Paris runways), ultra-outre looks (Katy Perry in a gown that featured a fractured mirrored bodice, iridescent skirt and angel wings, courtesy of Armani), and standard-issue tight 'n' shiny (Kim Kardashian, Miranda Lambert). Our favorites: Definitely Welch, who had the guts to don a swan gown after Bjork's memorable debacle, and a newly-slim Jennifer Hudson, in a navy Versace featuring what appeared to be a patent leather and rhinestone harness, which looks much more awesome than it sounds.
