Miley Cyrus, fuming over dad Billy Ray?s remarks to GQ magazine about the public relations disaster that is his daughter, insisted that he cancel his planned appearance this week on ?The View,? Popeater.com reports.
When the teen singer learned of her father?s gig, ?she went nuts,? according to a family friend. Among Billy Ray?s sins: saying ?Hannah Montana,? the Disney vehicle that made Miley a household name, ?destroyed? his family, and insinuating that Miley was on the same road of self-destruction traveled by Anna Nicole Smith and Michael Jackson.
?At first Miley defended her dad, wanting to believe he had been tricked into saying bad things by the magazine,? an insider tells the website. ?Miley truly wanted to give her father the benefit of the doubt, goodness knows she?s said things she wishes she could take back. But after she found out about his media trip to New York, no more excuses could be made.?
